MULTITUDE MONDAY

Image
view from the upstairs outside balcony. It's a sleepy, drizzling, overcast day here Don't have anything on the agenda I think it's time again  for me to count some more blessings! I know I'll never get finished but at least I can start! Count your blessings, name them one by one, Count your blessings, see what God hath done! Count your blessings, name them one by one, And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done. Let's go!!  1. The gift of time to do just what He lays upon my heart 2. An answer to prayer - our d-i-l got a job 3. A godly friend is now in the Presence of Whom he believed 4. Opportunity to carry grieving, loved ones in prayer 5. FREE

Thank you Heavenly Father, that in You We have Freedom. Your Grace has freed us from the shackles of sin; It no longer has any hold on us. As soon as we are tempted to sin, We have the freedom to say ‘No’ to temptation. Just one whisper of your Name And the evil desire disappears. We are free to choose our church family. We are free to worship together. We are free to accept the friends You have particularly chosen for us. We are free to bind ourselves to You As a humble servant forever. We are free to forgive and hold no grudges. We are free to restore broken relationships And enjoy intimacy with others in You Without fear of vulnerability. We are free to love each other deeply, And from the heart. We are free to feel our emotions intensely, But allowing only You to rule over our lives, Not someone who wants to control us, And simply cannot accept us as we are. We are free to be who You want us to be. We are free to share the Good New...

HIGHWAY OF LIFE

Image
Flat land - as far as the eye could see on my way to southern Alberta  to visit our daughter and family earlier in spring! Stretched out before you this highway of life Brings scenic outlooks along the way. Your eyes on the goal and it’s forward you go To travel the distance assigned for today. You may look backwards, but just a brief look, The mirrors will show just where you have been. A glance is enough to keep your perspective Now you’ll be aware of what’s closing in. There’s been much construction; there’s been death and trauma As you’ve traveled this long and tortuous road. But the key to a safe and enjoyable trip Is to leave the past back there and lighten your load. You’re responsible now to forge on ahead Obey all the signs for your safety and good. No more ‘if only’, you must not go back. Just please make sure that  you're on the right road. Karin Ristau  Thanks Dave - from his visit to TN Thanks Dave!

MY APPLE

Image
First my clamshell display was replaced - free of charge!   When I brought it home I found that the space bar  and my volume controls were completely messed up.  I called and had to bring it back in  to our brand-new Apple store - which is now really close.  After more diagnosis it was decided  that it was not cost effective to do further repair.   I was asked if I would mind  getting an upgraded model - at no cost to me.  I won't keep you in suspense any longer - I actually said,  "I'd be delighted to get the newest MacBook Air with all its upgrades."  For all my inconvenience  I would get the data transfer thrown in - normally $100.00.  Now that's what I call EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!  It was worth the wait! Meanwhile I've been reading most of your blogs. I love that part of blogging much better than posting anyhow, lol! Off to work for this week and will try to post  next weekend!  Tha...

LOOPY LAPTOP

Image
Going to take my baby computer in  to have the display fixed.   A part needs to be ordered  and it should be up and running in a week!  Meanwhile, I'll use hubby's - but he's always on it -  so I'll have to see when I can get computer time!   See you soon - maybe!

PERCEPTION

Image
Loved this pure white bleeding heart and got a photo of her last gorgeous blooms! The gorgeous roses, the lilies standing tall, The lovely canopy of trees The playful daisies dancing in the breeze but all she noticed was some weeds. The peonies had bowed their heavy heads, The fountain water jets were spraying The garden beds their bounty were displaying, But all she noticed was some weeds. I heard the sweet bird’s cheerful song I saw a squirrel scamper here at play, It was a gorgeous, sunny, summer day, But all she noticed was some weeds. My heart rejoiced at God’s Creation! This garden was a peaceful place Spruce trees stood tall and full of grace, But all she saw was weeds! It’s pretty hard to change perception when always you see negative, and you have chosen thus to live! Oh God, have mercy on her soul! Karin Ristau
