THANKFUL FOR.....


And there's more snow today!

Snow, lots of it – thankful mainly because it isn’t 
rain or hurricanes or earthquakes, 
and it will nourish the earth when it melts – 
not too fast I hope!

A relaxed , fun evening with son and daughter-in-law

Grandchildren’s giggles and chasing around the room

Delicious food – someone else doing the cooking

Good conversation about topics dear to one’s heart

Encouraging e-mails from friends

Knowing someone is praying for your needs

Opportunities to serve the seniors Sunday afternoons at church

That I can drive myself to work and don’t have to park my car, 
take the train downtown, walk another block to the office!

Reading a good book by an excellent author

A hot cup of Stinging Nettle tea – yum!


Enjoy every precious moment of life
the Lord gifts to you!

Thanks for the reminder.Every moment is special indeed.We too are having snow,yet again.That means I need to get my exercise and open the driveway,at least enough so I can get to work in the afternoon.

I love the bird's eye view of what you're seeing. Now I can see through your eyes what you see from your window! I don't know about the Stinging Nettle, though, yikes! We are to get a frozen rain storm tonight, and I'm hoping the power doesn't go out.

Here are some facts about the Province of Alberta, part of western Canada, where we've lived for 37 years! Thanks to Doris for this lovely winter scene! Didn't have my own! It's winter here now but we do get the four seasons and they are beautiful. Love this photo - thanks Evi! The days are getting longer and soon we will have spring again! The trees should have green leaves by Mother's Day! Alberta's license plates read, WILD ROSE COUNTRY. Click on the rose to read more about it! Alberta had it's centennial celebrations in September '05! We're still quite young! If a 21 year old had ten bucks to his name in 1905 he could buy 64 hectares - over 150 acres.
