We love fruit - all kinds
but hubby's favorite are the Bing Cherries!
It's that fabulous time of the year again.
Now if the kids had been around we would
probably have put these on as earrings,
then washed them, and then eaten them!
That's a fun memory from my childhood.
We only had red cherries - we only got
to have Bing cherries when we
came to Canada.
I also love the Queen Anne cherries
from Washington - they must be
coming soon!
Look at all the doubles and triples!
I know, I know - quit playing with your food Karin!
Sorry, but they're all gone now! YUM!!

Great pictures - and yes, they look like grandma's old-fashioned ear bobs! Such a delicious treat!
You didn't save me any???? Darn it!!!! I wanted a bite....
Looks delicious... Our favorite summer fruit is strawberries...
Hugs,
Betsy
Yummy! Now you made me hungry for some Bings.I love these cherries and tend to eat too many when I buy some.
I love fresh cherries! Our Washington Rainier cherries are good, too. It's so funny that I love fresh but can't stand cherry pie....
It's too bad they have such a short season, they are very good for us!!! Have you ever tried the yellow ones called "ranier"? They are supposed to be the gourmet of all cherries! Phil eats them whenever he can find them.
Oh dear, I love cherries. My girlfriend and I hung them in our ears. once I took a bite ... and bit into a worm. Since that time I view my cherry carefully before I eat! Here we have dark red cherries.
Lucky you! We are told that there will be no local cherries, peaches and very few apples due to the crazy weather we had this Spring. So - enjoy a few for me!
I love ALL the berries in season. And our blackberries just got ripe!
Oh Karin...I love cherries too...and I can just eat, and eat, and eat, them!!!
I need to pick some up real soon...thanks for the reminder my friend!
I hope you are having a lovely day!

Mmm-mmm-mmm! I love the summer cherries, too! I haven't had any yet this year but I think you've made a good marketing appeal. :)
Thank you Karin for such an insightful comment on my blog post about working with the elderly. You've reinforced my gut feelings about reaching each person through their spiritual nature. Even though the body is wearing out, their spirit is strong.
Thanks for sharing your experiences with me.
Love those bing cherries! Summer is really here when we can eat yummy red cherries.
Hi, Karin,
I just read your comment on Wendy's blog and wanted to come by. I see that you follow "Let Your Light Shine," Ginny's blog. She is a friend of mine. She has taken care of my granddaughter, Ella, since she was little. I was just with her last week in Virginia.
Fun! thanks for the giggle ... yes the earings are great!
Yes we finally have the cherries. I have to ration them as they are very high on the glycemic index. A great tribute to your children's father.

I love those cherries, too. Even the dried ones!
Nice!! I love when there are doubles and triples...I still remember hanging them on my ear like an earring! Funny! I love you!
We saw some cherry trees, full of cherries, when we were in Canada!
I wanted to pick some so bad, but the owner was very particular about her trees...I do love cherries!
these look so yummy...and to think, Cherries are SO EXPENSIVE here..
have a great week..
I love bing cherries too. And, they're so very expensive here in USA.
I always told my children not to play with their food, but you got such nice triples and quadruples that I will forgive you for playing. Enjoy!
