PRAISE FOR 4th ADVENT

 Thanks Evelyn!

God of Grace and Surprise,
today we embrace the miracle
of the incarnation of your only begotten Son.
We stand in awe and wonder of your plan of salvation
which confounds the wisdom of this world.
Thank you for fulfilling your promise
given by the prophets of old--
the sign of reconciliation in and through Jesus, our Lord.
Help us to recognize the incarnation of your grace
especially with those who suffer,
those who are impoverished and victimized.
Enable us to stand in solidarity
with the least of our brothers and sisters in Christ,
so that the world will see in us
the good news of Emmanuel,
God-with-us,
in whose very name we pray.
Amen.

by Rev. F. Schaefer

Please remember us in your prayers
as both of us have been given
this past week
the diagnosis of having
prostate cancer and breast cancer.
We are still numb
yet God is in control
and our time is in His hands!
This world is not our home!
Another surgery for me in Jan.
and then treatment for both of us.

My dear friend in Jesus, I was struck numb also when reading your post. You are so right it is all in His hands. You are now right here on my prayer list beside my computer. I walk in prayer with you both. Blessings

I'm sorry to hear about the diagnosis you and your husband have received, but I know you are in Good Hands, and that He will guide the surgeons and doctors treating both of you. You and your husband will continue to be in our prayers.

I will keep you and your husband close in my thoughts and prayers. May the knowledge that so many of your blog "family" love you and are praying for you give you comfort and strength in these difficult days.

Oh, Karin!!! I am so very sorry. You will be having surgery? What about your husband? Prostate cancer is the best kind to have. Most men who live long enough have it, and most die from some other cause. Phil had it, and I printed out hundreds of pages of studies. The radiologist only wanted to do that, the surgery only wanted to operate...etc. We have tried to help several people make decisions on this, please call us if you want to talk or need some help on treatments, you can e-mail me for my phone number. Were they both caught early? Please keep me informed.

I am there with you my friend...thanks for sharing your outcomes as we can continue to pray that the God of mercy will walk with you through this journey.
Got the same news from another friend this week. It's been crushing...but one day at a time.
I wish you could of heard my grandchild 8 become the messenger of HOPE as we lit the four candles this past weekend. It was so tear jerking as you know my story, but GOD is there in the midst of it all.
