APRIL - AUTISM AWARENESS

Just sharing with you, my blogfriends, our dear daughter-in-law's post
where she shares the story of our youngest grandson, Aidan!
That's him trying to pull his sissy's hair!

We sure need to get an updated photo
of hubby and me with our grands!

Enjoy!

Aidan is a beautiful child with a charming smile!! It is astonishing how more and more children have autism, when not too long ago, it was widely unheard of. Phil works with quite a few of these people, mostly the ones with Asperger's. I wonder if they will ever find out the true cause? I have watched Jenny McCarthy talk about her son a lot, people either seem to love her theories or totally disagree with her, there seems to be no middle ground there.

Hi Karin, Aiden is a gorgeous little boy... It's great that he is in such a wonderful family --who will love him and help him to grow in the ways which he can... God Be with him--them....

YES---we need to all be more aware of Autism. I read another blog this week talking about Autism.

Hugs,
Betsy

I work with special needs children, and some of them have autism. My pastor's wife said that by having a son who died gave me empathy with them.

What a sweet sweet photo of you all...

I know what it's like to have a grandchild that is considered 'different'...my oldest grandson had Down Syndrome. It takes a toll on our strengths ---but oh the joys never cease!!!

My Sunday's Link:

What a beautiful tribute. We have one gson with Asperger's. Our daughter has been so emphatic with natural treatment for him you can hardly tell it. They are always such lovable children. I love your previous post about the wood music. Blessings this day. Family all worked in our yard yesterday and it is like a lovely new landscape. So grateful for that outing.

What a great post your daughter wrote. You must be so proud of her and Aidan. He is adorable and has a loving family to help deal with this diagnosis. I didn´t know you had an autistic grandchild. But I know you are the best grandma he could ever want.
Thanks for sharing the link.

It's great to see a photo of you, hubby and the grands. May God continue to give you joy and strength in everyday life with autism. Aidan is a cutie...

What a beautiful and heart-felt post Melissa wrote. Most people would not have mentioned "blessings" in the same post with "autism". Melissa is a special mom.

And Aiden such a little sweetie! He is blessed to be living with a loving family such as yours.
Great pic too!
Hugs

We have a nephew who has been diagnosed somewhere on the "autism spectrum" - and how tough it is on his parents to navigate the medical community on this issue.

Blessings to you - Marsha

Hi Karin...
thank you for sharing this with us..
Your daughter sounds like a real treasure to have as a mom. Aidan is a Blessed little guy. Isn't it amazing that when we look at the whole scope of things,.... that in a very different way, we are Blessed because God chooses special people to take care of special kids...
Hugs,
Shug

Wonderful post & yes you do have a beautiful family!!! So glad that you support each other and are All there for your grand-children! So important!! I didn't have that for mine, but tried very hard to make up for it just being 'us' for the most part. They turned out well.. but I sure know that I 'will' be there for my grand-children!! ;-)

HUGS to you, Karin!

P.S. I want to see that picture soon of you, your husband and those beautiful grandkids!! :-)
