AFTER THE DARKEST NIGHT

Sunrise!

Come - celebrate the glorious Light of His Presence.

Darkness must flee where Jesus Christ is King!

Other ‘saviors’ lie stone cold in their final resting place.

Christ Jesus arose triumphantly! Come worship, rejoice and sing!

He died!

The One who died once and for all mankind on the cross,

Shed His precious blood to cover all of my sin and shame.

I’ve been redeemed, made His own! Oh, what an awesome love!

He died also for you. Come; call on His Name.

He lives!

The tomb is empty. The angels declare, “Do not be afraid.

He is not here; for He has been raised.”

Come, see the place where He lay.”

With fear and joy they told everyone.
God, in Heaven be praised!

He will return!

This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven,

Will return in the same way as you saw Him go.

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations.

Christ will return, but exactly when, we don’t know.

But until then,

Be salt and light. Seek peace and pursue it.

Turn from evil! Do good. Show others The Way.

Honor everyone. Love each other deeply and from the heart.

Fight the good fight of faith, until that very day.

Your words always bring hope! This poem expresses so well the reason for our hope. We attended a sunrise service this morning in the hilltop pasture of a deceased couple who meant the world to me. The theme of the service was "Then Came the Morning," and once again He reminded me that no matter what situation I face, morning will come . . . and all because He died, He lives, and He's coming again!

Incredibly inspirational Karin!!! And I may add, if you don't mind, that I loved the "Old Rugged Cross" video...that was my mom's favorite hymn, so it brought tears to my eyes.

Here's my link for today: A Mermaid She's Not Do stop by if you get a chance. And thanks for visiting with me yesterday!!

"Be salt and light" ... a worthy challenge, and so little to ask in light of all He did for us.

Happy Easter - Marsha
