PARADIGM SHIFT

When I was young, my mom always told us stories in the same vein as this video. These were valuable lessons that have stayed with me all my life - to gain a greater understanding of why people do what they do, not to make excuses for them, however!

I LOVE this, Karin! Everyone should watch it! I am always mindful of the fact that if we only knew the burdens that others carry quietly, we would be shocked. The more irritable someone is, the more they need kindness.

That gives some food for thought.

Excellent video, Karin... There is alot of sermons in that video... We all just need to slow down and 'care' about others. We get so busy that we forget that others may be hurting. All of us have our 'situations' --and if everyone would just care a little, life would be better for everyone.

Loved the video..
Hugs,
Betsy

I need to remember to put those special glasses on each and every day and not get so lost in my self that I fail to see others. Thanks for posting that Karin!

What a great video, Karin. It brought tears to my eyes - YES, indeed, everybody has a story - if we will only slow down to listen - and care! What a wonderful world that would be.

Thanks for the reminder, dear friend!

Yup...there's ALWAYS a back story. Never just what we see. Good reason to abide with God even more to be aware as He sees.

It is true ... if we could see through the eyes of Christ. What a different world this would be.
God bless you for sharing this.

Oh, my! I need to watch this often to remind me things aren't always as they appear - and that I need to see others through Jesus' eyes!

Sometimes it helps if we put ourselves in someone else's shoes...
or take a good glimpse at what our purpose is....
Interesting, I just put an empty cookie bucket on my island tonight, knowing that tomorrow I would fill it for a special needing family.
Thanks for your encouragement.

Thanks for sharing this with us. There are many lessons contained within it, and we need to be more aware of others.

I loved this...thanks, Karin, for posting it. Also, I lover your thoughts on the 'more snow' post being thankful it isn't hurricanes or earthquakes or flooding, etc. I never looked at it that way, but you're so very right.

Karin, I loved this video! It is soooo true. Getting outside of our own circumstances and looking at people with a tender heart opens up a whole new world to us. Thanks for the great reminder! Deb

Good lesson. Everyone has a story. "And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted..." (Eph. 4:32)
