Menacing storm approaches!
Summer 2010
The sands of time,
The storms of life,
The winds of change,
Have chiseled away
The things that cling
And hide the real me.
Grain by grain,
Drop by drop,
Blast by blast
Does its work to reveal
More of Him who lives within;
Removing more of me
As I die to SELF
In the moment,
In the hours,
Days, and years.
For to fully live His life,
To shine forth His Presence,
To radiate His Love,
The sands of time,
The storms of life,
The winds of change
Must steadfastly do their work
To finally bring forth the ‘me’
that fully radiates HIM
bringing glory to God.

"To finally bring forth the ‘me’ the fully radiates HIM bringing glory to God." Oh yes Karin...wonderful
Amen to that!!!
Did you have a great Christmas?
Yes, Ann, our Christmas was quiet, with just gift for the little children. We are enjoying our Christmas dinner with everyone tonight and hope they arrive safely. Maybe we'll even take some pictures!
I enjoy your writings Karin...
Thoughtful and thought provoking :o)
Hopefully we all get better with age and chisel away the excess baggage we don't need to feel His presence in us!
Let me wish you a happy and healthy New Year - einen guten Rutsch ins Neue Jahr und alles Gute fuer Dich und Deiner Familie.

What a beautiful poem expressing some very beautiful thoughts.
Thank you.
Beautiful poem, Karin... One thing is for sure: IF you don't like the weather, just WAIT ---it will change".... ha ha ..... Oh the Winds of Change.
AMEN....
Hugs,
Betsy
Dear Karin, thanks for commenting on my health care ranting. I sort of mean that tongue in cheek. It is on someone's agenda to keep us all stirred up. Your poem is outstanding, and I am definitely counting on Him. We will be alright. As long as we have each other we can always handle anything. We have said that all the years we have been married and it is even more true now.
All blessings to you and yours for the coming New Year.

Beautiful, and a pleasure to visit with you as always Karin.
Beautiful, Karin, and so appropriate, too. I'm going to send folks over here with a link when I write my post on about time this weekend. I trust you had a wonderful Christmas with your loved ones near and that the New Year will be full of blessings.
P.S. I'm about ready to send those book pages if you're still interested.
Lots of chiseling and sanding needed here *sigh*, but so do want to glorify Him.
