What a wonderful surprise to find a special envelope
when I got home from work today.

What was inside you want to know?
OK, I won't keep you in suspense any longer....

A beautiful doily - Betty explains all about it here:

Just look at the exquisite handicraft by the artists
who do this kind of intricate work!
What a lovely color - I love it!

Betty, hubby loved the stamps
and cut them off the envelope right away!

How very pretty and a special reminder of a blog friend faraway. I visited Betty's blog and said "hi." She has a beautiful family.

Congradulations, Karin! This doily is amazing, I have never seen one like it! The very fine detail, the pattern and color, are all just stunning! It reminds me of a peacock. On her blog she said the winner could use it as a coaster, but I would NEVER, it is too precious. I would probably hang it on the wall. Or use it as the kitchen table centerpiece.

That is a beautiful doily. I had a grandmother who tatted doilies....I would watch her hands fly as she created something like that. GLORY...what a gift.
