You're right about sabotaging gratitude! Constant gratitude brings about inner joy. But I think the parent of all virtues is love, without love we have nothing. And with love, many of the other virtues just fall into place. But now that I think about it, I don't know if love could be called a virtue? It is more a condition of the heart.
