FROM MY WINDOW
A fun place to sit, enjoy my morning coffee,
watch the world go by,
read my favorite blogs
or actually do some work!
We get the morning sun here
- in the afternoon this place is unbearable
and we have to close the balcony door
until much later in the afternoon.

The past two years
Mr. and Mrs. Canada Goose perched up here.
Mr. and Mrs. Canada Goose perched up here.
They woke us every morning around 5:30 a.m.
flying around our towers,
having a honking conversation,
and then settling up there
surveying their land

surveying their land
as though these buildings
were mountain peaks.
were mountain peaks.
Don't know if they had a nest up there.
The Department of Wildlife would
relocate the family
once the young ones were hatched.
The closest body of water
is a few kilometers away.

They've left now for the season.
I really ought to check out that
pot o' gold at the end of the gorgeous rainbow.
It must be close by!
Love watching the sky change
sometimes from hour to hour!
This is facing southwest and most
weather systems seem to come
from there.

Some sunrises are more spectacular than others.
The tall building in the distant right
is the new 14 story condo building of the
organization for which I work.
That's the location of our campus of care
- not far from home!

Summer week-ends tend to bring
balloonists overhead.
The gentle morning breeze carries them
to some lovely meadow south of us!
Some days it is so quiet
- and they fly so low -
one can almost have a conversation with them!
Love when there are two or three
almost in competition with one another.
NEVER A DULL MOMENT AROUND HERE!

Funny thing about Google Earth: we live on a corner lot and when we looked up our address and did the scan-around, our dog is in each part of the panorama watching the photographer! :)
Geraniums are my favorite.
