A SPECIAL ANGEL

(A copy of this painting hung in my bedroom
in the old country. I've always loved it!)

A precious angel God has given
A sweet and tiny little boy!
And yet the time of his beginning
Was not a time of boundless joy.

For there was fear and apprehension,
Anxiety had pierced your heart.
Your well-made plans were different now.
Could this child have a hopeful start?

What God has purposed we don’t know,
But this one thing we do.
To shape this sweetheart’s destiny,
Our God has chosen both of you.

Your little angel touched by Love
A mighty messenger will be.
Mysterious are His ways of love,
Your faith in God will grow, you’ll see!

Grow in  the power of prayer
That lifts you daily to God’s Throne.
Your “why” may not be answered here
Grow in your trust!  You are His own.

God’s plan and purposes are good
Though we might never understand.
No good thing will  His love deny,
Just let Him hold you by His Hand.

The Lord will give His strength each day
Patience and gentleness He’ll give.
He’ll show His faithfulness to you
And in amazing joy you’ll live.

Same here. I looked at that picture every night before falling asleep at my grandma's in East Germany. It gave me comfort and good dreams. Today, I have one hanging in my bedroom as well. It's one of my favorites :-)

Beautiful mom.
So...not sure how often I'll stick with it but I opened a new blog yesterday. You're welcome to stop by.

Now, it makes sense why you posted that picture. The minute I saw it, and had not read the poem...I was thinking, "God's Protection"
God definitely had his hand over your life also.
I remember that picture as a child.

Beautiful Karin... Each child IS a gift from God--and God looks after all of his children (even us big ones)...

Hope you are feeling better.

What a beautiful poem and every child should have this picture above their bed just as they have their guardian angel beside them always.......:-) Hugs

Oh my goodness Karin!

Let me tell you a remarkable story- when I was a little girl- a picture frame hung on my wall and whenever I was afraid at night, I would look at it, and I wouldn't be afraid anymore.

Since I was a little girl, I have searched and searched for the picture. I have never been able to find it.

THIS is the picture! The picture frame that hung on my wall as a child! Oh! How can I put it on my wall again!!???

I am very happy to have found you!!!!!!
