RANDOM DOZEN

Due to the fact that I'm not sure what to blog about,
in answering some questions.

1. How do you feel about "Gladiator" sandals, also called "Roman" or "Jesus" sandals? A fashion yea or nay?

I love wearing sandals – not sure these would work for me though – not enough support. I have a weak knee and ankle issues and need to wear specific shoes.  Oh yes, fashion vanity does not live at my house anymore, lol!

2. What is your favorite pizza?

Bacon, Mushroom  or Vegetarian – hey, now there’s an idea for supper tonight!

3. There are plans in the works to sell roughly 1,000 items from Star Trek: The Experience in Las Vegas. This means you could buy Picard's chair for your family room. If not a Star Trek item, what prop, background, set, etc. from what TV or movie would you buy if you could?
[Ex: Hurley's "I Love my Shih tzu" shirt from LOST, the plantation home "Tara" from Gone With the Wind, or Tracy's tambourine from the Partridge Family.]

Enjoyed watching many Star Trek episodes with our son, but have absolutely no desire to purchase any memorabilia! That’s a good thing – there’s more left for those who clamor for more ‘stuff’ in their lives!

4. Name a local food or restaurant that your area is famous for.

At Ruth's Chris Steak House in Edmonton, the restaurant is built in a Heritage Building that was once a bank. Our historic setting includes private dining in former bank vaults, surrounded in two feet of concrete and six ton vault doors yet with a very spacious feeling. Fireplaces in our cozy dining room and lounge create a very relaxing setting that is ideal for an important business dinner, a romantic evening of fine dining or an incredible meal before the game.

Our son took us here once to celebrate a special event. It's quite pricey!!

5. What is your current favorite snack?

Yoghurt with fruit or perhaps popcorn

6. Hypothetical: You are required to be a reality show       contestant. Which show would you choose based on your probability of success? (You cannot choose "none.")
A. Dancing with the Stars
B. Biggest Loser
C. Survivor

As Betty said, the same goes for me, “I´d have to pick biggest loser, because I have so much weight to loose and with a trainer to kick my butt into gear, I´d probably succeed. “

7. On a scale of 1-10, with 1 being uninhabitable and 10 being cleanliness that meets the standards of OCD, how clean is your vehicle's interior?

9/10 Just had it cleaned, inside and out for Easter – the first time since last fall.  Already I’m tracking in the extra gravel again that’s still on the roads.  Inside – I keep it clean – no clutter. Outside - I drive through the car wash when it’s dirty, but especially more often in the winter to wash off the road salt.

8. It doesn't feel like Spring until I see my first robin and hear its beautiful song!

9. Something that made you laugh really hard recently was watching America’s Funniest Videos last night! I can’t believe people do these things and actually survive without permanent injuries!

10. Tell me about a goal you're working toward.

Actually, don’t have a specific goal I’m working towards. Perhaps I should set a specific goal to make some goals – soon – maybe.

11. Share a thought provoking or inspiring quote this week.

When we love someone, we are willing to see what is great in their character as compared to our own, and desire to see them honored with all the honor due them. This is true of our love for God and our love for man. When we do not love someone the opposite is true. We do not see their value and hate to see them honored, whether it is God or man.

12. Name one thing that you do as a parent that you absolutely know will make your kids happy. If you're not a parent, feel free to substitute "friend" or nomenclature that works for you.

On those rare occasions that we are together as family, my kids love when I make Rouladen.  Individually each one of our kids loves when we come to visit, spend time with the grands, and just hang out together. Oh, the memories of all the things a parent did to make the kids happy when they were young!!

I'm with you on the gladiator sandles. I have a tumor on my left ankle and can't wear anything with that strap.
This is a fun Q & A. I'll head over and see what Betty said.
I'm behind on my blogging this week.

I enjoyed reading post. I've been to a Ruth Chris restaurant once. It was delicious, but as you said -- quite pricey.

Enjoyed getting to "know" you via your answers here. I could relate to several of your answers while others I'll probably never experience - Ruths Chris, for example (I've heard of it, but never seen it spelled out! Now I know.).
