OH REALLY??

At my age I think I’ve finally realized
that not everything I’ve been told is true, lol.

Here are just a few.  Add your own!

I’ll meet you there at noon.
This won’t hurt a bit.
Sure we’re moving, but we’ll stay in touch.
I know how you feel.
Just wait and see; dad will be mad at you.
I know it hurts, but you’ll get over it.
Listen to this song, you’ll love it!
This product sells itself.
It’s really easy to get there.
You’ll poke your eye out with that thing.
I’m not going to tell you that again.
Wow, that dress is so slimming.
You haven’t changed a bit.
Nice hairdo.
This is going to hurt me more than you.
I’ll pay you next week, ok?
Oh, it was nothing – glad to do it.
Yes, you can, it’s just like riding a bicycle.
I won’t keep you but a minute.
The doctor will be right with you.
I wasn’t napping – just closing my eyes.
I never shop there.
Someday, you are going to thank me for this.
Oh no, your kids don’t bother me.
We hardly even watch television these days.
You can’t fool me.
I wouldn’t dream of telling.
I did the best I could.
I’ve just gotten used to the snoring.
We’ve just been so busy lately
This is so much fun.

I've heard each and every one of those things. You mean they aren't always true?? Thanks for the fun post.

Ha Karin.... I've heard most of these... Had to laugh at the napping one since I constantly say to George: "I'm not asleep. I'm just resting my eyes".... ha

And the one about the dressing looking slimming is one I've heard.... Hmmmm--what do they really mean???? ha

Cute post..
Hugs,
Betsy

The one about not sleeping, just resting my eyes is my dear hubby's fav phrase to me!! Meanwhile, he's breathing deeply and snoring softly! LOL I know, total relaxation! Off to work here for a few days! Have a good one!

I cringe whenever someone makes the comment about something being as easy as riding a bicycle. I ride a bicycle now whenever I can take a break and let me tell you, those last few miles are never easy. And then there were those stitches I got back when I was a kid learning to ride a bike in the first place. Hmm. Not so easy after all.

The phrase that makes me say "Oh, yeah?" inwardly is, "Watch him/her/it for me. I'll be right back." :)

Just thought of another one for your list (oooh, I love this little fun activity!).

"If you let me have the pet I will take care of it all by myself."

Don't bother asking me why this one came to mind. lol

Great list and oh so true! The one I always think about is when someone says we have to get together and catch up. Honey, it aint gonna happen. I can barely catch my breath much less 'catch up'!

LOL!
