TAKING A BOW

After changing service providers recently, we had no wireless for my laptop. The previous provider's router wasn't compatible with the new system and we had to return it. Somewhere in our boxes of stuff there must be the old router. Usually our son looks after all the technological concerns of his aging parents! I wrote him and he gave some advice which I followed to the letter. No success! Then he started having internet problems and my needs took a back seat.

Meanwhile, I actually took this circumstance from the Lord. To me it meant that I was supposed to just relax and take a break from being permanently joined to my laptop - except when I was at work or looking after our needs! I did have intermittent access to my hubby's PC for the necessary communications with the kids and grandkids. I did miss my laptop, but decided it was a good thing to be without the internet for a while, just to prove to myself that I'm not addicted!!

It wasn't that hard! I found a number of projects that have been patiently waiting for me to return to them - sorting my poems and songs, filing, reading, shopping, visiting, playing piano, and de-cluttering our tiny apartment, etc. etc.

Well, today I did the unthinkable! I called for advice from the place where we had purchased our PC. Calling for advice wasn't what was unthinkable - I have no problem with that. What I never would have thought was that I had the ability to follow through on a recommendation made by the service clerk. I hooked up the wireless router all by myself and what is most amazing - it works!!! Amazing what one can do when one HAS to!

I can just hear your applause! Thank you! Thank you! Taking a bow here!

That still doesn't mean I have any creative thoughts to write on my blog but I'll try to keep up with reading and commenting on yours!

Blessing you because you bless me,

Wonderful!

I'm also not very techno-savvy. Pastor Dad always jokes that this is why I keep him around. We call it "job security." :)

Looking forward to hearing what the Lord has in store for you artistically in the future!
