PRAYER

This pewter relief hangs over my little roll-top desk
and always reminds me of Psalm 42:1

As the deer pants for streams of water,
so my soul pants for you, O God.

I love the way the flash hit it and it looks like light from heaven!

In the secret place of prayer

At the breaking of the dawn

Leave with Him your every care;

He will meet your needs - each one!

Praise Him for He is your Lord;

Worship Him with your whole being.

Bless Him for His Holy Word

And His Presence you’ll be seeing.

His Goodness makes your heart repent.

Confess, declare your sinfulness -

That’s why to Calvary’s cross He went

So you could wear His righteousness!

Ask of Him for other’s needs.

Seek His Holy Will to do.

Knock, He’ll enter with His fire!

For there is much work to do.

In fervent intercession pray

For all you love --- and all you hate

That their hearts would seek Him

Before it is too late.

Serve the Lord with diligence.

Love one another tenderly.

Give Him your strength and excellence.

He will reward - for He will see.

Enter in with thankful praise

Declare eternal victory.

Lift up your hands! Your voices raise

And praise Him for eternity!

Wonderful post today and I enjoyed yesterday with the pictures of you Mom and family. I am always so happy when I see families together. That is surely the backbone of our world.

I remember...when I was little, I used to sit in the orphanage (my mother is founder of an orphanage and I often spent much time there with the orphans) I used to sit on the couch and look up at a painting of a deer beside still waters, with the verse in the Bible written on the frame! :)

Girl, this is truly an inspirational blog. Where do you live? If you're anywhere near Tupelo I would like to invite you to be a member of our High Rollaz group. It's basically just a bunch of girls that get together and do a little poker and talk about Jesus, men, fashion, things like that. What do you say?

That is so pretty how the flash perfectly lights up the art work.

Beautiful poem. I love the line about Calvary lets us wear His righteousness.
