INTENTIONAL INTERRUPTIONS

with thanks for permission
from Betsy at Joyful Reflections!

Father,

You’ve given a beautiful sunset

for my enjoyment.

And the gift of this day

has come to a close.

I have not accomplished

anything I set out to do,

But I did the things

You had in mind for me to do.

I now reflect upon

the various encounters of this day.

I realize that all these interruptions

~ were sent by You ~

and were my ministry today!

Now I trust that what was said

influenced a life for the good and

made an impact for eternity.

I know that you sent that person into my life

for a purpose,

To lift him in prayer

To listen with my heart

To lighten his load

To love him to you!

Thank you

that each day is another opportunity

to live life to the fullest.

From the rising of the sun,

to the going down of the same,

The Name of the Lord is to be praised!

Beautiful poem, Karin---and it goes well with the sunset photo. Anytime you need a photo, just let me know!!!

Our life is full of interruptions--and as you said, many of them are sent by God. We may not have finished a day doing what WE started out to do---but I'll bet that we finished that day doing God's work!!!!

Hugs,
Betsy

I feel so much forbearance in all of your writings, Karin. :)

I'm going to have to look that word up Charity! I don't think it has ever been used in reference to me, lol. Praise the Lord if there is forbearance - He has a lot with me!

So true Betsy and thanks again!

Thanks QMM!

Henri Nouwen wrote of an old minister who said something like, "I used to get frustrated at all the interruptions during my work...until I realized that the interruptions *were* my work." (The exact quote is in the book REACHING OUT.)
You had the wisdom to realize it, too.
