SUNDAY PSALM

Psalm 131

A song of ascents. Of David.
1 My heart is not proud, O LORD,
my eyes are not haughty;
I do not concern myself with great matters
or things too wonderful for me.

2 But I have stilled and quieted my soul;
like a weaned child with its mother,
like a weaned child is my soul within me.

3 O Israel, put your hope in the LORD
both now and forevermore.

The songs of ascent are so precious. Always reminding Israel and us to put our hope and trust in the Lord.

I did Beth Moore's Stepping Up Bible Study on the Psalms of Ascent. It was one of my favorites of her.

I will take these words to heart not to concern myself with matters I can't do anything about and have a stilled and quiet soul. What an amazing life that would be if we all did that!
