LANGUAGE OF LOVE - for her

This week-end I read so many blogs that focused on this topic. I wrote this many years ago and hope you enjoy it!

THE LANGUAGE OF LOVE SPOKEN SO MANY WAYS,
BRINGS JOY, HEALTH AND HAPPINESS ALL OF OUR DAYS!

GIFTS
ONE ROSE, OH WHAT DELICATE BEAUTY I SEE!
THE FAVORITE PERFUME YOU PICKED JUST FOR ME!
A BOOK, FOR QUIET LEISURELY READING,
A BEAUTIFUL WATCH, JUST WHAT I’D BEEN NEEDING,
A GIFT JUST TO SHOW THAT YOU’RE THINKING OF ME
A GIFT, GREAT OR SMALL, THAT YOU CHOSE CAREFULLY,
YOUR GIFTS SPEAK OF LOVE FOR ME THAT I CAN SEE!

SERVICE
YOU WHISTLE A TUNE WHILE YOU VACUUM OUR PLACE
TAKE THE ‘KIDS’ TO PIANO, OFF TO SHOPPING YOU RACE,
YOU SERVICE THE VEHICLES, PUT GAS IN THE TANK,
PAY OFF THE MORTGAGE AND BILLS AT THE BANK.
YOUR ACTS OF KINDNESS ARE DONE LOVINGLY,
YOU MODEL FOR ME WHAT A SERVANT SHOULD BE
YOUR LOVE SHOWN IN DEEDS IS REAL SPECIAL TO ME!

TIME
WHEN YOU QUIETLY ACT ON THE THINGS I HAVE SAID,
WHEN I MAY SHARE WITH YOU WHAT I HAVE READ
WHEN YOU TURN OFF ‘WHATEVER’ SO WE CAN TALK
WHEN YOU STOP WHAT YOU’RE DOING AND COME FOR A WALK
WHEN MY FOUNTAIN OF FEELINGS WITH YOU I MAY SHARE
WHETHER I’M ‘DOWN’ OR ‘UP’ YOU’RE ALWAYS THERE,
YOUR LOVE GIFT OF TIME SHOWS TO ME THAT YOU CARE!

TOUCH
AS YOU KISS ME ‘GOODBYE’ AND YOU KISS ME ‘HELLO’,
AS YOU TOUCH MY CHEEK, JUST LETTING LOVE SHOW,
AS OUR EYES MEET IN TENDERNESS AND THE TIMING IS RIGHT,
AS YOUR STRONG ARMS SURROUND ME ALL THROUGH THE NIGHT,
OR WITH OUR HANDS CLASPED IN PRAYER WE KNEEL,
OR HOLDING EACH OTHER, OUR HEARTBEATS WE FEEL,
YOUR LOVE GIFT OF TOUCH IS EXCITING AND REAL!

WORDS
YOUR WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT HELP ME TO GROW.
A “THANK YOU’, “I’M SORRY”, “I’M WRONG” LET’S ME KNOW
I’M CHERISHED AND HONORED, RESPECTED BY YOU.
I LOVE WHEN YOU SAY, “YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL”, TOO.
YOUR WORDS HAVE THE POWER TO HEAL AND FORGIVE,
BRING COMFORT, GIVE STRENGTH EVERY DAY THAT WE LIVE,
WHAT JOY YOUR WONDERFUL WORDS OF LOVE GIVE!!!

Without LOVE all of our gifts are useless,
whether in marriage or other relationships.
