PENNSYLVANIA

Had a wonderful flight, a lovely scenic drive and am enjoying my family in Pennsylvania. It is so good to be together and share the joys. What I can't describe to you is how muggy it is here! Thank God for air-conditioning. Outside the birds are busy chattering and the neighborhood kids are running through water on the lawnslide. The heat is a little harder on this ol' bod than it seems to be on children. We attended church together this morning, which for me was a different worship experience. I was blessed by Ken's Sunday School on Parenting; excellent teaching, so at ease with it ~ and I'm not just saying that because I'm his mom. Enjoyed lunch out together and now we're just taking it easy. Oh, I hear baby Aidan waking.........

THUNDER STORM

Image
Just enjoyed the first thunderstorm of the season. It was very short. I wish the rain had washed the windows in the process ~lol! Thunderstorms always leave me awestruck at the greatness of God! I am reminded of the passage in Job 37. The weather is often a topic of our conversation but how often do we give glory to God for the subtle changes in the weather each and every day? All the days of our lives are a gift from our Creator. Job 37:5 "God's voice thunders in marvelous ways; he does great things beyond our understanding. " What an awesome God!

LOVE OF LILACS

Image
Every spring I love to have my face caressed as I draw a deep, long breath and enjoy the beautiful fragrance of lilacs! I got my fix this year from a gorgeous bouquet some thoughtful daughter had brought in for her frail mom living in the long-term care centre. The colors are a feast for the eyes! What a variety God has made! I had never seen the white edged blossoms before! Enjoy and maybe take a lovely bouquet to the nearest nursing home to bless the residents there!
